**MADRID, 13 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS)** – The wave of attacks launched early Friday morning by the Israeli military against various locations in Iran has resulted in the death of the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), General Hosein Salami, among other officials. So far, these actions have left at least nine dead and over a hundred injured.

The IRGC has confirmed Salami’s death in a message reported by the IRNA news agency, shortly after the spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces, General Abolfazl Shekarchi, stated to the same outlet that «several commanders have been martyred» and assured that Israel «will pay a heavy price» for the attacks.

«There is no reason to worry in the country, and the Zionist regime and the United States will pay a high price and receive a strong slap,» the spokesman stated, denouncing that «residential areas have been attacked, which is a sign of the enemy’s humiliation, unable to confront the country.»
